So It’s 2021…

What does that even mean?

2020 showed us how disruptive it can be in all its uncertainty, uncomfortableness, and unity. Though I (we) spent a lot of time at home there’s still this thing called exhaustion that sets in. Me personally I’m virtualed out!

Despite all that 2020 was still a good year for me and I wanted to list a few reasons why.

  • I got to open my eyes every day and function (social distancing of course) and that’s something I don’t take for granted because of all the lives lost for various reasons.

  • In the midst of a full-on PANDEMIC, I met a man who brings me joy. This was shocking bc I actually took a few years (3-4) off from dating to give myself time to heal and grow from past relationships and 2020 was the year I was ready to date again but Corona came! Out of nowhere, a man I met over a year ago decided to reach out on the gram because the pandemic freed up some of his time and now he could actually shoot his shot! Look at God.

  • In May I nervously launched Go Off & Create on all social platforms though it’s been a functioning business for a year prior to that. I said nervously bc it’s such a vulnerable thing to put yourself out there for the world to see but it was the best thing I could’ve done.

  • I got to work with amazing clients and some of them helped to span my reach to Canada and the United Kingdom. It’s important for me to always be learning and growing, so working on various projects helps me to do that.

  • The amount of support I received for GO&C has been truly amazing. The biggest thing I’ve been trying to do here is to build a community and to see that happening from all over truly warms my heart. I look forward to us continuing to grow but also helping others to grow.

I share all these positive situations because two things can be true. As hard of a time 2020 was it still was a good year, so just like 2020 life/business is unpredictable. There’s no magic wand that’s going to wave and make 2021 flawless. Common practice Is the typical questions about what would you leave behind in 2020? or what are your resolutions for 2021? I’m not going to ask any of that, but I implore you all not to put added pressure on yourselves. It’s ok to figure things out as you go, at your own pace. I feel it’s impossible to know all the things in business and life but that doesn’t stop us from living. Even with planning and setting goals for the New Year leave room for rest and/or unpredictable situations because that’s how life rolls.

Happy New Year!
