Let’s Go

In my dreams. That’s where I kept the thoughts of starting my own business. To be honest, in the early years of my graphic design career I wasn’t looking to be a small business owner, entrepreneur, or any form of an independent entity. I enjoyed working for other businesses, gaining knowledge and skill by working in a team environment. I realized that starting my own business was possible after working in the industry for many years and seeing that there’s a lot of people who would like help with their brand visuals. Even though I felt this way I kept it in my mind, too afraid to act on it.

I relied on the fact that I couldn’t start my business because I needed job security. Then in 2017, my job security was taken from me. I was laid off from my design job after 7 years. Now don’t feel bad for me because in this case parting ways was bittersweet. Bitter because I wasn’t able to work with the awesome editorial team anymore but sweet because I knew the timing was right. It was time to go and make the dream a reality.

I spent 2018 strategizing and designing the brand for Go Off & Create and low key began laying the groundwork for the company in 2019. Here it is 2020 and globally businesses are faced with a lot of challenges during the Covid-19 era. Even though there’s a lot of adversity, it’s still important to share the good news, and here’s ours! We just launched our awesome website which allows Go Off & Create to do business more publicly. This means we can help more brands out there, so let’s go!
