Embrace the Pivot… or Not

It took me a long time to accept that the world we know is forever changed⏤not for the better and hopefully not for the worse, but just very different.

And how do you move when it's unclear what tomorrow will look like? How do you plan a life without knowing what new mandates will be enforced?

If never before in life, much of 2020 taught us that we have so little external control and that we can only truly control our thoughts; our power lies in how we react to adversities and uncertainties. It may look like we are stuck and powerless, but that's a lie. One thing the pandemic taught me to do is accept these extreme alterations; this acceptance looks different for everyone, btw, so giving space and grace to the next person to work things out how he or she sees fit is the kind thing to do.

Another thing lockdowns have taught me is to sit tf down and do nothing and be ok with that.

As it seems that the world is moving at lightning speed to keep up with new and unique demands, don't feel guilty for not immediately implementing a plan B, C, D or E when it comes to your life or your business.

But, sometimes experimenting and working through those plans is the smartest route.

Other times, sitting still is the best move.
